Review of Podcasts Goes LIVE!
February 5, 2008 by Bruce CI now started a reviewing podcasts live. Now, instead of pre-recording my reviews, I have taken a room at Ustream and have a full room of podcasters with a chat room and usually review about 5 to 10 podcasts every single night.
I figured while I am at it, let’s also voice my complaints about podcasts in general and ways to improve your podcast. One of them is that most podcast subscribers don’t want to listen for more than 20 minutes, although most podcasters have over 60 minute shows. Most people just don’t watch, let along download all that data onto their PCs, as these longer podcasts take longer to stream before the first second of audio video content is even rendered by the computer.

September 21, 2007 by Bruce CDavis on Draft is THE beercast. Listening to Justin and his lovelyyyy assistant, I learned a lot about the beer industry. What’s cool is that they give beer news on beer manufacturers such as Anheiser Busch, etc, new products, events, and all things beer including dark beers from ales from around the world.
I listened to the episode called Justin’s Favorite Beers and actually went into a bar asking for one of them.

This is a comedy podcast and the hosts of L.R. pick on each other, tell jokes, drink beer, and have live shows. I listen to this podcast in my car and it helps me laugh when I am stuck in traffic. I think the guys from Lunatic Radio podcast for people like me who hate other drivers on the road, because if you have road rage, you will soon find out that the guys from Lunatic Radio do too. They pick on everything from cops to sports to current events and sometimes politicians.

Review #27: (Written) – The Scott and Pam Indie Alternative Rock Metal Radio Show
September 6, 2007 by Bruce CYes, we just started adding written reviews since sometimes I get backlogged podcasting, but the podcast reviews must go on!
I review Scott and Pam because I am a metalhead. As some of you know I am a smooth jazz sax player who has topped the MP3.com charts in the past, I am still into alt and heavy metal.
So, I was excited when Scott and Pam joined PodcasterWhosWho.com – Listening to their podcast as like any other music podcast, except only obviously metal. They start off the show with a song, usually the best song of the podcast, but all unknown talented groups who would make any metalhead proud.
Since they like metal, they never seem bored of or burnt out podcasting and that’s obviously important, but I do hear a lot of podcasters burnt out on their own shows.
Through this podcast, I learn about new groups that I probably would never hear of. So, it’s always refreshing to hear something different other than Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Linkin Park, or Shinedown.
The show is also funny where this couple throws in jokes of sexual innuendos and current events.
Good job, Scott and Pam. As Pam said to me in her last email: Right on!

So, I had to listen to a few episodes of Startup Bizcast before reviewing this podcast. Steve gets right down to the answers in a very short podcast. After listening to episode 11 about search engine optimization, I immediately had some strategies for Google and Yahoo which I never knew such as updating your content, blogging (pardon the pun), and more. I don’t want to tell you all of the tips because I do not want to spoil the podcast for you, but if you need better search engine rankings, listen to this episode.

The Fight Back Podcast is a collection of inspirational stories about people fighting serious or incurable diseases. It is clear to me that Steve knows his content is indeed involved with the resolution or coping of those diseases themselves.
My review of Fighting Back Podcast tells you why you should listen to this podcast even if you do not know anyone who is fighting a disease.

Mikey from Public Nuisance Radio says you cannot listen to this at work, but it is not half as raunchy as some of the podcasts I have heard. This is my first review with my daughter and we stripped out thebackground music and it was just me and her. That’s Pink Princess from the Roadkill and Pink Princess podcast.
